It was the fourth time Pinnacle rejected a Pacificorp bid for the holding company or for its Arizona Public Service Company subsidiary. Pacificorp, a utility company based in Portland, Ore., said it might make an offer to Pinnacle West's shareholders.

Lafferty of the company's information products division said many users prefer receiving facsimiles on plain paper. The machines are all made in Japan by the Fuji Xerox Corporation, although they were developed by Xerox engineers in the United States.
